CPC chiefs of Anhui, Xinjiang elected
HEFEI/URUMQI -- Li Jinbin was elected secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday.
Li, born in February 1958, was elected to the post at the first plenary meeting of the 10th CPC Anhui Provincial Committee.
Li is a native of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province. He joined the CPC in 1978.
His political career in East China's Anhui province began in 2013.
Li was appointed Party chief of Anhui province in August 2016.
Chen Quanguo was elected secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC on Wednesday.
The election was held at the first plenary session of the 9th Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC.
Chen, born in November 1955, joined the CPC in 1976. He is a native of Pingyu in Central China's Henan province.
Chen was appointed Party chief of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in August 2016.
