A 12-year-old girl in Guangdong province scored 620 in the national college entrance exam this month — 135 points more than she needed to enroll at a top university in the province.
Chen Shuyin from Zhanjiang ranked 1,882th from 341,611 students who took the exam's science test.
Zhanjiang Daily reported that Chen entered middle school when she was 7 and was enrolled in an experimental class at age 9.
Her parents pay close attention to her education, using efficient learning methods and creating a healthy balance between study and rest, according to the report.
