8. Tianjin
The northern port city has five subway lines in 168 kilometers by the end of last year.
According to the city's plan, Tianjin will build 10 subway lines during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20). By 2020, the city expects to have a subway system of 375 kilometers.
