Former Chinese TV host imprisoned for DUI

BEIJING -- A Beijing court Friday sentenced former Chinese TV host Lang Yongchun to three months detention for drunk driving.
Lang was involved a late-night accident while driving his SUV on Oct 5 on West Dawang Street in Chaoyang district. His blood alcohol was recorded was 207.9mg/100ml, which was exceedingly high, Chaoyang District People's Court said.
The court sentenced him to three months in detention, and fined him 4,000 yuan (about $600).
Lang was previously a host of the evening news on China Central Television (CCTV), China's state broadcaster. He left CCTV in 2015, according to his public profile.
