Xi congratulates Putin on start of World Cup

President Xi Jinping on Friday held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, congratulating him on the opening of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Xi wished the meticulous organization of Russia will ensure the international sports event is a success.
