A 18,000-ton bridge was swung into place after being turned 120 degrees, setting a new record in China's over-railway bridge construction.
The 160-meter-long bridge, part of a road under construction in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, crosses above a high-speed railway after being swung into place early Friday morning.
During the operation, the bridge was rotated 1 degree every minute, and the whole process took a little more than two hours. In most cases, the rotation of such a bridge does not exceed 90 degrees.
The bridge will be connected with roads on both ends.
