“@China” global short video contest now accepting submissions

“我與中國(guó)”全球短視頻大賽作品火熱征集中

The “@China” global short video contest, sponsored by the People’s Daily, is underway. The contest is accepting work from short video creators, enthusiasts, and vloggers worldwide from June 18 to August 15. Candidates can enter by logging on to the contest’s official website (hellochina.pdnews.cn) and submit a 3-minute or less video.

日前，由人民日?qǐng)?bào)社主辦的“我與中國(guó)”全球短視頻大賽作品征集正式啟動(dòng)?；顒?dòng)面向全球各國(guó)短視頻創(chuàng)作者、愛好者、網(wǎng)絡(luò)博主等征集作品，2019年6月18日起至2019年8月15日，參賽者登錄大賽官網(wǎng)（hellochina.pdnews.cn）上傳時(shí)長(zhǎng)為3分鐘以內(nèi)的視頻作品，即可參與比賽。

The contest will run from June to September and is divided into multiple stages including submission gathering, judge evaluation, public viewing, and outstanding work recognition. Prizes for first, second, third place and awards for Most Creative, Best Photography Best Editing, Best Animation Design, Best Visual Effect, Most Popular, and Outstanding Organization, with a top cash bonus upwards of 100,000 yuan.

本次大賽分為全網(wǎng)作品征集、評(píng)委評(píng)審、優(yōu)秀作品展示與表彰等多個(gè)階段，時(shí)間跨度為6月到9月。大賽設(shè)置一、二、三等獎(jiǎng)、優(yōu)秀獎(jiǎng)等綜合獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；最佳創(chuàng)意獎(jiǎng)、最佳攝影獎(jiǎng)、最佳剪輯獎(jiǎng)、最佳動(dòng)畫設(shè)計(jì)獎(jiǎng)、最佳視覺效果、最佳人氣獎(jiǎng)等單項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；優(yōu)秀組織獎(jiǎng)若干，最高獎(jiǎng)金額度可達(dá)10萬元。

In recent years, the short video has become the fastest growing global internet phenomenon. More people are using short videos to record the changes around them, feelings of walking, and the modern landscape of the country and the world.

To allow more of the world to get to know about China, People’s Daily, in conjunction with the hottest internet communication form, is sponsoring the “@China” global short video contest.

The competition is aimed at encouraging netizens both home and abroad to create a short video, capturing the changes of the times through a camera lens, record the beauty of China.

近年來，短視頻成為全球互聯(lián)網(wǎng)發(fā)展最快的傳播形態(tài)。越來越多的人開始使用短視頻記錄身邊的變化，記錄行走的感悟以及祖國(guó)和世界的新風(fēng)貌。為慶祝新中國(guó)成立70周年，人民日?qǐng)?bào)社結(jié)合當(dāng)前最火熱的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)傳播形態(tài)，舉辦此次“我與中國(guó)”全球短視頻大賽活動(dòng)，意在鼓勵(lì)海內(nèi)外網(wǎng)友拍攝制作短視頻，用鏡頭捕捉時(shí)代變遷，記錄美麗中國(guó)，積極向世界塑造和展示中國(guó)繁榮發(fā)展、文明和諧、奮斗進(jìn)取、開放包容的形象。

The theme is “@China,” and the organizing committee has chosen the topics “Speed·China,” “Openness·China,” “Travel·China,” “Life·China,” “Impression·China,” and “Striving·China,” where participants are encouraged to create and expand upon them to produce beautiful stories about “@China.”

本次大賽主題為“我與中國(guó)”，組委會(huì)設(shè)置了“速度·中國(guó)”、“開放·中國(guó)”、“行走·中國(guó)”、“生活·中國(guó)”、“印象·中國(guó)”、“追夢(mèng)·中國(guó)”等主題方向，并建議參賽者在此基礎(chǔ)上進(jìn)一步延展和創(chuàng)意，從不同角度展現(xiàn)“我與中國(guó)”的美好故事。

Contestants are free to choose their creative paths while demonstrating their understanding of a chosen theme. Genre is not limited and all video submissions must be less than 3 minutes. Aspect ratios can be horizontal or vertical, and submissions that follow the format conditions will be eligible for the competition.

參賽者可根據(jù)自己對(duì)主題的理解，選擇自己喜歡的方式，自由創(chuàng)作。作品不限體裁，要求時(shí)長(zhǎng)3分鐘以內(nèi)，支持橫、豎屏多種格式，滿足條件的視頻作品均可參與大賽。

National selection, deep incentives, the best work will stand out globally

全民評(píng)選，深度激勵(lì)，讓好作品在全球“C位出道”

The contest is organized in different stages, including video submission gathering, selection of all participants, and screening outstanding work. The submission stage is underway and will run until August 15. Domestic and foreign participants can submit their work on the contest’s official website, along with all cooperating agencies and co-organizers.

本次大賽分為全網(wǎng)征集、全民評(píng)選、優(yōu)秀作品展示與交流等多個(gè)階段。即日起至8月15日為大賽的征集階段，國(guó)內(nèi)外短視頻愛好者可以通過大賽官網(wǎng)以及大賽各合作單位、協(xié)辦單位等特定渠道提交參賽作品。

Once the selection stage is complete, the top videos will be selected to participate in the online voting round. Netizens will be able to log in to the Chinese and English versions of the People’s Daily App and vote for their favorite videos.

Outside of public voting, to ensure the integrity of the contest, the organizing committee will have a group of judges composed of media professionals, industry experts, professional video production agencies, and well-known directors. The group will judge each video based on content, theme, and communication.

征集階段結(jié)束后，將選出優(yōu)秀作品入圍網(wǎng)絡(luò)投票階段，用戶可登錄人民日?qǐng)?bào)中、英文客戶端為心儀的作品投上寶貴的一票。除大眾投票外，為保證大賽的專業(yè)性，大賽組委會(huì)還組建了一支由各大媒體、行業(yè)專家、專業(yè)視頻制作機(jī)構(gòu)、知名導(dǎo)演等組成的專家評(píng)審委員會(huì)，將從內(nèi)容主題、傳播導(dǎo)向等方向?qū)ψ髌愤M(jìn)行綜合評(píng)定。

For the final stage, after the online votes have been tabulated and the expert reviews are completed, the award-winning videos will be selected. The winning short videos will be distributed and aired on multiple domestic and foreign media platforms, displayed at major landmarks and at distinguished universities, and shown on cinema screens. The award ceremony will be held in Beijing in late September.

最終綜合網(wǎng)絡(luò)投票及專家評(píng)審結(jié)果，將評(píng)選出全部獲獎(jiǎng)作品。獲獎(jiǎng)作品還有機(jī)會(huì)登陸海內(nèi)外眾多媒體平臺(tái)、國(guó)內(nèi)外地標(biāo)建筑大屏，進(jìn)入知名高校、電影院線進(jìn)行展播。頒獎(jiǎng)典禮將于9月中下旬在京舉行。
