World No 1 Trump suffers third-round loss at snooker UK Championships


LONDON - World number one Judd Trump failed to reach the last 16 at snooker UK Championships after losing to veteran Nigel Bond 6-3 in York on Monday.
Trump led the match 3-1 but lost momentum suddenly to lose the next five frames.
"I"m really happy with the way I played. It was great to score well today," said the 54-year-old Bond,who spent more time on coaching nowadays.
"Coaching is a good distraction for me. I cannot practice seven or eight hours a day. I'm too old for that," said Bond, who is the 98th in the world rankings.
China's Li Hang defeated Marco Fu from Hong Kong of China 6-4. Both had two breaks above 100 with Li reached 131 twice.
Stuart Bingham ousted Zhao Xintong 6-1 while John Higgins saw off Ian Burns with the same scoreline.
