BEIJING -- Jose Gonzalez is reported to be the new head coach of Chinese Super League side Wuhan Zall, after previous incumbent Li Tie was appointed head coach of China's national team on Thursday.
Guangzhou-based Soccer News reported that part of Li's former coaching team will temporarily remain at Zall to assist Gonzalez, who will also bring in his own team.
The 53-year-old Spaniard served as assistant coach for compatriot Gregorio Manzano at Beijing Guoan from 2014 to 2016, before taking over as head coach until June 2017.
Newly-promoted Zall had an excellent season, finishing sixth in the 2019 CSL under Li's tutelage.
