The first set of medical protective clothing in northern Shanxi province rolled off the production line in Linyi county on Feb 3, to support efforts to control the pneumonia epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus, according to officials. 

To alleviate the medical supply shortage caused by the epidemic, Linyi county determined to resume the production of the medical protective clothing production line at Bingjuan Clothing Co, based in local Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The company urgently convened workers to return to their posts for training and completed the installation of the medical protective clothing production line within 48 hours and secured the procurement of raw materials.

Shanxi Aoer Pharmaceutical Co, another company in Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone, provided sterile workshops for the production of medical protective clothing and completed its workshop disinfection.

The medical protective clothing samples will be produced on a mass scale as soon as the samples pass tests. This first production line of medical protective clothing in Shanxi province is expected to produce 1,000 pieces daily.
