International tournaments including Rolex Shanghai Masters, Shanghai Longines Global Champions Tour, and IAAF Diamond League Shanghai will not take place this year, said the events' co-organizer Shanghai Juss Sports Development (Group) Co Ltd on Friday.

Jointly decided by Juss Sports Group and relevant parties of the events, the move was taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the world, said the group.

The group said that although the domestic epidemic situation is generally under control, epidemic situation overseas is still not optimistic.

Also, the General Administration of Sport of China issued a layout for the scientific and orderly recovery of sports events and the resumption of work and production of the sports industry recently, which clearly states that no other international sports events and activities can be held this year except for important events.
