River regatta to take place in Shanghai

The 2023 Head of Shanghai River Regatta will take place at Suzhou Creek from September 16 to 17.
Top international university teams and national teams, including the rowing team of the University of Cambridge and Oxford Brookes University, as well as the Australian national rowing team, will be participating in this year's regatta.
In addition to the traditional 4.2-kilometer race, the 500-meter rowing sprint, and club single sculls men's and women's 500-meter city rowing sprint, this year's regatta will include two new groups: the elite and youth.
Four local high schools will also hold a four-person double sculls performance race to promote the development of rowing among youth teams.
Co-organized by the China Rowing Association, the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, Donghao Lansheng Group, and the district governments of Huangpu, Jing'an, and Hongkou, the annual competition has been held since 2021.
