Beijing Xiangshan Forum to host more than 90 delegations worldwide

More than 90 countries, regions, and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, set to take place from Sept 12 to 14, according to Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian.
Wu announced on Thursday that this year's forum will see the highest number of participants to date, with a broad representation from various regions and organizations. He noted that preparations for the high-level security forum are nearly complete.
Under the theme "Promoting Peace for a Shared Future," the forum aims to bring together global leaders and experts to foster dialogue, expand consensus, build mutual trust, and promote a balanced, effective, and sustainable security architecture.
The forum will include four plenary sessions focused on key topics: security cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, the multipolarization of the evolving international order, issues concerning the Global South, and global security governance.
In addition to the plenary sessions, there will be eight special sessions and various feature activities, including interviews with expert participants and seminars for young military officers and scholars.
