The China Coast Guard announced on Tuesday that the coast guard of East China's Fujian province conducted routine law enforcement patrols in waters near Jinmen, an island off the coast of Fujian.
In a statement, the CCG said since November, the Fujian coast guard has organized vessel formations to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen, further enhancing control over the relevant maritime areas.
These patrols effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the safety of life and property, of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan, strongly ensuring the normal navigation and operational order in the waters between Xiamen and Jinmen, it said.
