Strawberry Music Festival, one of China's largest outdoor soirees, will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Japan, on June 7 and 8.

It will be the first time that the Chinese music festival will be held outside China.

The two-day music festival will bring a diversity of lineups from China, Japan and more countries from Asia. About 10,000 music fans are expected to attend the festival on a daily basis.

In 2024, Modern Sky, the major Chinese entertainment company founded by Shen Lihui in 1997, announced its cooperation with Japanese entertainment company Avex Live Creative, hosting the Strawberry Music Festival in Japan.

The Strawberry Music Festival in Japan is being launched against the backdrop of the China-Japan-South Korea Cultural Exchange Year from 2025 to 2026.

During the past 26 years, Modern Sky has released more than 500 albums by collaborating with over 300 groups of artists, musicians and bands.

In 2009, the company launched the Strawberry Music Festival in Beijing and so far, the festival has been held with over 140 editions in nearly 50 Chinese cities. More than 6,000 groups of musicians and bands from home and abroad performed at the festival, attracting over 7.5 million audience.

Early this year, the company announced the theme of this year's Strawberry Music Festival, "infinite odyssey", which will tour Chinese cities, including Beijing, Changsha in Hunan province, Chengdu in Sichuan province and Foshan in Guangdong province. The music festival will be held in Macao for the first time.
