Wuxi celebrates Reading Month with island events

Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province launched the 18th Taihu Lake Reading Month alongside the cultural experience program "Raise Up with Music" on Bogong Island in Binhu district on April 18.
The three-day opening event featured a ceremonial launch, book exhibition, breakfast gathering, two concerts, four music and book sharing sessions, and eight folk music performances, offering a rich blend of literature and culture.
To encourage literary engagement, the Wuxi Federation of Trade Unions distributed 300,000 yuan ($41,094) worth of book coupons. The event also premiered Listen to Wuxi, a promotional video highlighting the city's vibrant musical heritage.
