Students swap stories at Peking University book fair

Beijing's Haidian district hosted a book fair at Peking University's campus last week. Hundreds of students visited to trade books and share reading experiences. [By Du Juan/chinadaily.com.cn]

Haidian is Beijing's science and technology hub. It develops new records for the science and technology industry and cultural initiatives.

Since 2020, the district has allocated an annual fund of 20 million yuan ($2.74 million) to support brick-and-mortar bookstores. By March this year, Haidian boasted 248 bookstores.
