The Children's Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai held a small ceremony to celebrate the life-changing recovery of a 4-year-old Pakistani girl, who suffered from severe thalassemia, but has been successfully treated using Chinese original gene editing technology.
"It's sort of a proud moment for all of us. I do not have words to explain the gratitude to the hospital team for how they have supported us," said the girl's father.
