Experts highlight workplace mental health at Shanghai conference


More than 600 professionals from academia, industry, and research gathered on Friday at the 16th China Occupational Health Psychology and Positive Organization Conference, held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The event focused on the vital topic of occupational mental health, which plays a key role in individual well-being, organizational development, and societal progress.
The conference featured experts in the field, alongside business managers from various industries. Participants shared insights into the theoretical frontiers and practical approaches to building comprehensive mental health service systems for employees.
Discussions also explored how occupational mental health intersects with the emergence of new quality productive forces, driven by technological innovation, with the aim of helping companies build positively-oriented organizations for sustainable development.
Jointly hosted by SJTU’s School of Psychology and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd, the conference was organized by Beijing-based EAPs Consulting.
During the event, business leaders presented real-life case studies, illustrating methods to foster a spirit of striving and to create positive organizational cultures. They also advocated for enhancing employees’ sense of happiness and fulfillment in the workplace.
Since its launch in 2004, the annual conference has become a benchmark event in the field of occupational mental health in China, contributing to the standardization of employee mental health support systems and the advancement of the broader industry nationwide.
