The final deck segment of the Heishan Gorge Yellow River grand bridge in Zhongwei, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, was installed on Thursday, bringing the project a significant step closer to its goal of opening to traffic within the year. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The bridge has a maximum lifting capacity of 29.8 tons. It is the most complex highway cable-stayed bridge over the Yellow River in Ningxia, featuring the highest bridge tower, the steepest inclination angle, and the most challenging construction techniques.
