Lotus transform wetland park in Chongqing into canvas of pink and green hues

On Sunday, a mesmerizing mid-summer sight unfolded as 13.33 hectares of lotus blossomed in their full splendor, transforming the Shuanggui Lake National Wetland Park in Chongqing's Liangping district into a canvas of pink and green hues.
Nestled within the Zhangqiao community of Liangping, this park offers a picturesque blend of pastoral landscapes and pristine wetland culture. It's also a paradise for photographers seeking to capture the beauty of nature.
Over the years, the district has committed to an extensive ecological restoration effort, spearheading over 20 projects dedicated to rejuvenating the area's native ecosystems. By implementing strategies like wetland rehabilitation, creating micro-wetland clusters, and fostering the growth of aquatic vegetation, the water quality has surged to meet Grade III standards, providing the lotus with a vibrant and nurturing environment to flourish in.
