Pujiang forum highlights global science collaboration
The Ministry of Science and Technology announced on Friday that the Pujiang Innovation Forum, scheduled for Sept 20 to 22 in Shanghai, will emphasize global scientific collaboration and innovation.
The InnoMatch Technology Transfer Conference, an event of the forum, will showcase more than 80 debut products and their experience scenarios in cutting-edge fields. Over 120 leading industry enterprises and more than 200 universities, research institutes, and service organizations will participate both online and offline.
The WeStart Entrepreneurship and Investment Conference, another forum event, attracted more than 1,400 projects in biomedicine, integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and future industries. From these, 100 projects will be selected for presentation to investment institutions.
Lyu Jing, a senior official from the ministry, said at a news conference on Friday that the forum enhances global scientific collaboration, cultivates future industries, and leads new trends in cutting-edge fields.
Aleksandr Podkovyrov, minister counselor of the Belarus embassy in China, said at the news conference that as the guest country of honor at this year’s forum, Belarus puts great importance on this cooperation opportunity and will promote deeper collaboration between the two sides in scientific and technological research, results transformation, and talent exchange.
The forum, jointly organized by the ministry and the Shanghai government, was established in 2008. In 2025, the guest country of honor is Belarus, and the guest province of honor is Liaoning.
The forum will invite 550 guests from 45 countries and regions, according to the ministry.
