Swedish player Alex Noren defeated France's Adrien Saddier in a playoff to claim his second BMW PGA Championship title at Wentworth Club, owned by Reignwood Group, in an intense Monday finish.

This year's championship served as a warm-up for the European Ryder Cup team, with all 12 members, including Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood, participating. The tournament attracted over 115,000 spectators across four days. Chinese golfer Li Haotong also featured, finishing at T70 with an overall score of -3.

Noren praised the event, stating, "This tournament is incredible. It's one of the best in the world and it keeps getting better every year."

The Wentworth Club, acquired by Reignwood Group in 2014, has undergone enhancements while preserving its traditional character. Improvements include turf maintenance, expanded clubhouse and multi-functional conference facilities, and innovative membership management. Committed to sustainability, the tournament was powered entirely by green hydrogen, resulting in zero carbon emissions. The club has previously been recognized by the Golf Environment Organization Foundation as one of the United Kingdom's most environmentally responsible golf courses.
