This year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, a milestone for the organization. Noting that major power relations are becoming increasingly tense, Lora Saalman, a senior researcher at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute in Sweden, stressed the importance of platforms like the Beijing Xiangshan Forum in promoting global dialogue. The forum offers all countries, big or small, an opportunity to express their views based on fairness and mutual trust, she said.
