A few days earlier, eight precious pieces of jewelry were stolen from the Louvre in France, drawing public attention to the safety of cultural relics. In a recent interview, Su Bomin, director of the Dunhuang Academy, commented on the frequent thefts in overseas museums. He emphasized that the Dunhuang Academy's protection techniques, management methods, and measures for preventing future risks "are not only applicable to the Mogao Grottoes, but also provide valuable references for safeguarding other heritage sites in China and even around the world".
