Transport optimized to ensure coal supply
Chinese railway operators are intensifying efforts to safeguard the transport of thermal coal for winter heating. Taiyuan Railway Logistics Center in Shanxi province has set up a "thermal coal supply guarantee" working group, strengthening communication with local departments and power plants, and dynamically monitoring key daily information. Its employees invented a dynamically updated electronic ledger, analyzing the daily consumption of coal, inventory, cargo loading status, and transport needs of power plants, so as to provide precise transport allocation. Since November, a total of 224,200 metric tons of thermal coal have been transported urgently.
