On Nov 14, a child surnamed Xu died after undergoing heart surgery at the Women and Children's Hospital of Ningbo University, an incident that drew widespread attention on social media.
The provincial government has since given the case high priority and sent a team to supervise follow-up measures. Ningbo city also deployed a working group to the hospital to continue the investigation, implement corrective actions and ensure normal clinical operations, the report stated.
