A major highlight was the debut of a "swarm interception" contest, where four-person teams in red-blue combat, with red-team racing drones against blue-team vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing aircraft.
"The competition is well-designed and well-organized. Competing with peers from across the country is both a challenge and a learning opportunity," said Liu Yongbo, a pilot from a Cangzhou's club.
The concurrent procurement fair saw a 20 percent increase in exhibitors from the previous session. More than 100 aircraft on display, all independently developed and produced locally, covered industrial drones, civil aircraft and aviation equipment.
