Changsha experienced a massive influx of tourists during the recent holiday. Wuyi Square station recorded more than 320,000 passenger trips on both April 30 and May 1.
The "luggage wall" first gained online attention during last year's May Day holiday, with visitors praising it as a testament to the city's public safety and order.
In response to its popularity, the government of Changsha's Tianxin district transformed this spontaneous arrangement into an organized volunteer service last October, providing free bag storage at multiple locations. Each bag was tagged with a numbered wristband and a "luggage passport" for identification.
