HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong moved up HK$178 to close at HK$15,848 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,714.98 a troy ounce, up $19.26 at the latest exchange rate of one US dollar against HK$7.757.
