The theme of the photoshoot goes along with Xu Jinglei's current project, a film adaptation of the best-selling novel about office politics, "Du Lala's Promotion".

Xu Jinglei announced the project on June 28, but said the cast was yet to be finalized. The actress-turned director didn't rule out the possibility of playing the lead role herself.

Since her directorial debut with "My Father and I" in 2003, Xu Jinglei has directed three films and starred in all of them.
