Mother imprisons son to teach him haste

Updated: 2006-09-30 09:05 An agitated mother in Zhejiang Province locked her 11-year-old son in a bathroom on Tuesday as a punishment because she could no longer stand for the boy's dawdling. The mother, Huang, explained that she did this to force her son, Xiaojun, to move quickly. Xiaojun's teachers often complained to Huang that the boy spent over two hours doing paper assignments that took other students less than half an hour. Huang then declared that the boy could spend no more than 10 minutes bathing and one hour in doing homework. However on Tuesday, the boy was only half done after taking a bath for over 20 minutes, which caused the mother to lock him up. Today Morning Post |
