Six IPOs for GEM to be reviewed today

After the first seven companies applying to be listed on the to-be-launched Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) received the green light yesterday, six other IPOs for listing on the GEM will be reviewed Friday, Economic Information Daily reported.

The securities regulators said all the seven enterprises have met the requirements for listing. Some industry insiders said the successful review of the first seven IPOs indicates that the GEM could be officially launched by the end of October.

According to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, 149 companies have submitted applications for listing on the GEM, which intends to raise a combined 33.6 billion yuan ($4.92 billion).
