A baby conceived with a donated ovum was born in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.

The mother of the baby is a 36-year-old woman who had not been able to bear children for more than seven years.

The baby boy weighed 3.28 kilograms and was in good health at birth.
