Giant joss enjoys 24-hour protection

The Leshan Giant Joss, the world's largest stone carving of a seated joss (a
Chinese idol), located in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, is now being
protected by a 24-hour "electronic security guard", reports Xinhua.
A high-tech, computerized security network, including monitors, cameras and
remote sensors, has been installed at the site. The security measures are said
to be capable of preventing "fire, flood, vandalism" and other threats of damage
without impairing visitors' views of the famous carving.
