A new contraceptive pill for rats is expected to be mass-produced from March, reports Tianfu Morning Post.

According to a researcher in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, the rat "killer" will effectively sterilize the pests. The pill is laced with a special bait believed to be a favourite with the rodents; and it will do no harm to animals such as dogs and cats.
