China's teacher's day falls on Sept 10. Professor Wang Xinkun, former dean of Beijing Normal University, established a holiday for teachers in 1984. Teacher's day was set for Sept 10 of each year at the ninth meeting of the xixth session of the National People's Congress in Jan, 1985.
