He won the "Outstanding Brand Character of the Year 2010" for the Global Golden Brand Award . More recently he was inducted into the 100 eminent Chinese entrepreneurs selected by the Management World Magazine under the Development Research Centre of the State Council of China and the Hong Kong Economic Times. As a prominent property guru, and a consultant for various corporate and publicly-listed companies in Malaysia, Gavin advises upcoming and established international and local property developers on land development, concept planning and overall marketing. He is actively involved in investment consultancy, project marketing and international real estate services.
His consultancy expertise has extended to overseas markets such as China, Germany and Singapore, where he currently works with international developers, foreign governments and authorities on development projects.
As a prominent speaker in the property industry, he is frequently invited to give property talks in international exhibitions and events in China, Macau, Hong Kong and Singapore. He also speaks for major local developers and organizations such as Maybank, Sunrise, UEM Land, Mah Sing, SP Setia, Sunway, iProperty and Home Guru.
He was a TV host for a real-estate program and is frequently featured in TV interviews and various media channels. He has also authored five books and is currently writing for The New Straits Times Press (NSTP) and Real Estate Malaysia (REM) magazine.Under his stewardship, and through the strength of its leadership, network, professionalism and group purchase power, Swhengtee International, which was awarded the 2011 International Standard Quality Award (ISQ) in the Quality Professional Company category, has collectively invested more than 700 million yuan ($112.5 million) worth in properties to date.
