Plan to upgrade 18 scenic Fujian resorts

Fujian province is to raise the level of 18 scenic resorts later this month, according a committee responsible for tourism qualification assessment.

Seven of 148 1A tourist destinations will be promoted to 4A level, including Xishan Tourist Village in Lianjiang, Chishan Forest Hot Spring Resort in Fuzhou, Quanzhou Municipal Museum, Jiuxian Mountain Scenic Resort in Dehua, Tianfu Stone Sculpture Park in Zhangzhou, Heping Ancient Town in Shaowu and Mingqing Park in Taining.

A further 11 1A tourist spots will rise to 3A level.

The promotion of the 18 destinations will become official after a publicity drive ends on Dec 21.
