Revolutionary documentary shot in Pingnan

On May 8, a camera crew came to Pingnan to shoot a documentary about the Chinese Red Army, according to pingnan.ccoo.cn.

The documentary will commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The crew will interview the people who experienced the history and visit revolutionary sites.

It will introduce the fight in Fujian against the Japanese army, joint efforts with residents to fight against invasion around the Yangcheng Lake, Jiangsu province, as well as the process of creating the famous Peking Opera Shajiabang, which is about eastern Fujian Red Army men in Shajiabang town, Jiangsu province.

The documentary will be broadcast on TV stations during August to September.
