Zhu, CEO of Xiaoi Robot Technology, said his company in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, would shoulder the responsibility to develop together with the city in an exclusive interview with China Daily on May 27.

Equipped with a dynamic digital knowledge database, the robot can replace human labor to answer citizens' questions and improve the efficiency of consultancy and information services.

The latest version of the smart robot even hosted the opening ceremony of the 2017 China International Big Data Expo in Guiyang from May 25 to 28.

The extensive business applications of AI technology started to be realized in 2014, said Zhu, adding that the precondition for successful AI businesses is to have practical utilities.

In the eyes of Zhu, a good investment in the AI sector should always take three keys things into consideration, namely trend, timing, and team.

"Xiaoi has not been without tough times. From the end of 2010 to the first half of 2011, the company met with real difficulties," said Zhu.

But the smart robot producer has advantages in natural language and smart conversation, added Zhu.

"Every single line of Xiaoi’s code is written by our own engineers," said Zhu. It gives the company exclusive core technology for the smart robot.
