Liangjiang received 476 investment projects in 2014, according to the Liangjing administrative committee. The investments have a total investment value of 193.8 billion yuan ($31.00 billion).

The official website of the Lijiang New Area says that as an important investment destination, Liangjiang is attracting an increasing amount of attention from investors around the world.

The city's automobile industry attracted a large amount of investments, including SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co, who opened their new Chongqing Base on Dec 12. The base received investments of over 100 billion yuan and is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 400,000 car units. Additionally, the Hyundai Motor Co singed a contract in the same year to open a new branch in the Liangjiang New Area.

As well as the auto industry, there were other investment-magnets in Liangjiang, including the information, aviation, modern service and cloud computing industries, which all achieved big progress in the Liangjiang New Area.

"Attracting big investment projects to Liangjiang is the most important work. In 2015, Liangjiang will try to adapt to the economic 'new normal' and create new business modes to better attract investments," said a senior from the Liangjiang administrative committee.
