Triple smart sisters admitted to same university
Triplet sisters in Jianhe county, Guizhou province, received admission notices from Sichuan University in Chengdu last week after achieving high scores in the national college entrance examination.
The sisters scored 616, 621 and 615 points in this year's gaokao, about 130 points above the admission standard for science, impressing many netizens.
Two of the sisters will study civil engineering, while the other will study preventive medicine.
Their high school head teacher, Yang Jiguang, spoke highly of them, saying they are "surprisingly in tune with one another in almost everything".
The first sister to be born, Yang Wenyao, spoke for the group: "We never imagined we'd be accepted by the same university, since we wrote down the name of our dream schools on our own without any discussion."
