Tianjin official faces graft probe

Zhou Derui, a senior official from Tianjin, is under investigation by the country's top anti-graft body for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, according to a statement released on Thursday.
Zhou, 59, is a member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, where he has worked since 2022. He is undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
