The first giant panda cub born through natural mating in Gansu province has turned one month old, marking a milestone for panda breeding in the region, according to the Lanzhou Wildlife Zoo on Sunday.
The male cub, born to pandas Manlan and Hongxi, weighed just over 100 grams at birth and now weighs nearly 1.3 kilograms, the zoo said. His distinctive black-and-white coat is starting to show, and he can already make loud calls and move his limbs vigorously, although his eyes have not yet fully opened.
