As one of China's major international aviation gateways, the airport is playing a key role in connecting the capital with global destinations, while supporting Beijing's efforts to build itself into an international exchange center.

To make travel more convenient, the airport has expanded full-process electronic boarding pass clearance services for international and regional flights. The service now covers 21 routes operated by 16 airlines.

"For passengers without checked baggage, electronic boarding passes can help them avoid queuing at check-in counters and move through the airport more efficiently," Kong said.

The airport has also worked with tourism companies to set up cultural and tourism service zones at the airport's international transfer and arrival areas. The zones offer dozens of tourism products covering Beijing and nearby destinations, designed for passengers with different transfer times and travel interests.
