Hunan University of Chinese Medicine probes hospital dean's son for bonus double-dip
Hunan University of Chinese Medicine has launched an investigation after the son of the dean of an affiliated hospital was accused of receiving duplicate bonus payments while seconded to another department.
Xinhua News Agency reported on Thursday that Zhu, the son of the dean of the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, graduated from the university in July 2019 and later joined the hospital's health management department.
He was seconded to the intensive care unit in January 2022. During that period, he was found to have received duplicate performance bonuses totaling 84,000 yuan ($11,600) from the health management department.
The university has ordered him to return the money and urged the hospital to tighten internal management to prevent similar lapses.
